Downs to the Sea - Falmer Restoration Plans
Brighton & Hove City Council is working in partnership with South Downs National Park and others to apply for funds to restore water bodies across the Downs including Falmer Pond
We are investigating the possibility of:
Removing the build-up of silt
Restoring existing pond edges
Improving the efficiency of water inlets
Enhancing pond vegetation to benefit wildlife
Reducing the tree canopy where leaf litter is problematic
There will also be an opportunity to join the Friends of Falmer Pond
Please feel free to bring along any old photos you may have of the pond
Event repeats with the same timings on Sunday 3rd of September 2023.
