Project Update - Let’s Get Started!

Over the next 3 years, Brighton & Hove City Council will work with the South Downs National Park and other organisations to implement a successful lottery-funded project to restore water bodies across the Downs, including our historic Falmer Pond.

Project Goals:

• Remove the build-up of silt
• Repair eroded pond edges
• Improve the efficiency of the water outlet & inlets
• Enhance pond vegetation to benefit wildlife
• Reduce the tree canopy
